There are those stories in scripture that we just love to hear. This is one of them. How Peter is set free and how those who were praying were shocked.

"The Stories I Like"

Acts 12:12-19

1) Today we see Peter’s miraculous escape. Eventually he will be put to death and crucified upside down.

2) This Mary has a son named John Mark, who is the Mark who wrote the Gospel of Mark.

3) They are hunting down Christians. They probably know that these Christians are getting together at John Mark’s mother’s home.

4) When we pray, do we honestly think God will answer our prayers?

5) They had prayed for James and they killed James; and they prayed for Peter and believed Peter would also be killed.

6) Peter knew they would be looking for him. He knew the danger he was in and he was trying to keep it quiet.

7) When it was discovered that Peter had escaped, all these men knew they were in big trouble.
